FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1

WHAT IS SLIDAR?

SLIDAR is an acronym for Structured light Detection and Ranging.

More importantly, SLIDAR is a sensing methodology and architecture, rather than a particular sensor. By swapping in different components as well as re-positioning components, different incarnations of SLIDAR can meet a wide range of performance specifications that can easily be optimized to a particular application.

2

I NEED TO DO X (SIZE, WEIGHT, POWER, RANGE, FOV). CAN YOU DO THAT?

Maybe, but more information is needed. There are performance trade-offs and a single device is not likely to perform optimally across all potential use categories simultaneously.

WHAT ABOUT THE LAZEEEYE SMARTPHONE ATTACHMENT FROM KICKSTARTER?

That form factor is not in active development.
